Day 274: a saturation of watering cans

Daily details from the garden to bring you inspiration throughout the year

I’m wondering what would be the collective noun for watering cans. A splash? A sprinkle? A drizzle, or perhaps, a saturation of watering cans? I quite like the latter option, but I digress. I’ve found the cans assembled by the veg patch tap and, if I’m entirely honest, I don’t remember putting them there, nor why I would, since each is required to do service in a different section of the garden. Is it possible that, the warmest of the year’s weather evidently behind us, they’ve decided to take things easy and get together for a chat? I suppose it would be churlish to deny them that.
